There are some GORGEOUS bedrooms featuring reclaimed wood headboards all over Pinterest & design magazines. I love the feel of these rooms, so I made a reclaimed wood headboard.  This headboard does not have legs, so you will need to mount it to the wall.  There is hanging rope securely attached to the back. I've used hooks (screwed hooks into the wall studs) & have then hung the headboard right on the hooks.  But, you could also screw right through this entire headboard directly into the studs. This headboard is 58" long x 29" tall. It's a really great size that would work for any size bed. It is large enough to work for a KING size, fits just perfectly with a QUEEN size, & would also work for a FULL/DOUBLE if centered. It could even work for a TWIN if you don't mind a bit of overhang on each side of the bed (which I don't--I've seen pictures where reading lamps are mounted to the extra on each side of a full size bed--so cute!). This has been cleaned & sealed and I've done my best to remove all sharp pieces, nails, etc. But, please note that this is real reclaimed wood so it is not perfect & there will be unfinished or rough edges. Reclaimed wood is not ideal for small children.

These antique chairs can be hard to find & when I do, I snatch them up! I love the shape of them--they're very versatile--dining table chair, accent chair, desk chair, etc. I left this one original (cleaned up its wood) because the wood was in very good condition compared to others I've had. It has some scuffs & some wear, but overall it is in good shape. I redid the upholstery to a modern tweed & added leather trim & nail head accents. Measurements: 34" tall x 24" wide x 24" deep with a seat height of 17.5"

I made an upholstered headboard to demo how to make an upholstered headboard.  It's a cute, but neutral design that could go with any color combination. The top & bottom stripes are a dark, charcoal grey--very soft fabric, & the middle is a white fabric with a grey pattern. This headboard was made for a double or full size bed, but would also work for a queen bed as they are very close in size.  The headboard is thickly padded (4inches thick) & is 55" long x 61" tall (including the legs, the actual upholstered part is 40" tall)--it has two legs which rest on the ground so that you don't have to mount it to the wall. You can just set it on the floor & push the bed up against it. The legs hold it in place.
